It feels a bit strange at the moment. It's as if the initial entusiasm of the group has fizzled out, and with the imminent closure of the site it seems pointless to try and sustain it.

A bit like having your children grow up and leave home (not happened to me yet - my lad is 3 and I'm encouraging him to get a job!).

I think that GW has been an excellent place to get work published and read. I don't think I'd ever tackle the formal paper publishing route - but just having one stranger comment that they enjoyed your work makes me realise the thrill that published authors must feel.

Maybe I'll stick my last story 'The most dangerous man in the World' on if I find time to finish it off!

But hey-ho, listen not to my woes of year gone by. I've actually got a proper job now, so that's great.

I know what you mean, its such a shame. I have really enjoyed being part of GW, and making lots of friends and like you said, just one kind word of encouragement(sorry if thats spelt wrong!) means such alot. So glad you found a job.
