Well, I've come here a few times and been put off by the need to learn XML to contribute. Now I've decided I really want to learn XML/XSL so here I am again trying to make sense of things on some basic level.
Who am I, Qwerty? I'm an idler. I'm a completely lazy so-and-so. I'm also driven. I love my computer and the internet. I've made hundreds of web pages and graphics in the past year. My sites are always wrecked in cataclyisms. I like it that way! Everything I do is obsolete a month later and I'm too lazy to delete it in the main. I'm a drunkard sometimes; I only remember about 75% of what I learn. If I post in these forums you'll soon learn to tell the difference between my sober and drunk postings.
I'm a bit lazy on spelling. I don't like the internet "spelling police" too much. Get a life! Despite that, I'm a writer. I'm a writer who was born with a word-proccessor in my mouth so that's why I can't spell.
I'm trying to work out Java and DHTML as well as this XML stuff. My secret fear is that I'll never learn anything beyond HTML. Oh dear, its not a secret anymore. I have no aptitude for computing beyond my innate stubborness but I do possess something a lot of hackers don't - a tiny bit of artistic ability.
Want to see my first ever webpage and graphic?
Its at http://members.theglobe.com/Copywrite/
Its not really in ernest; I made it a year ago when my legs were busted. That's how I found the net. I was crippled.
