Now then, take it easy. Normally I post to get a reaction - a thoughtful reaction - from atheists, and the only one who has ever replied in such a fashion is Edward. *ALL* I have *ever* got in reply from anyone else is bland refutations, witless over-reactions or being blanked. This is incredibly frustrating as I genuinely want to know how atheists deal with their lives, and I want them to see how dogmatic they are being while accusing others of the same offence.

I did use to emphasise the fact that my post was more of a caricature than how I normally post. Yes, I was messing around back then and I went too far. I picked on you because I know you're a reasonably sensible person. That's the sound of me regretting in hindsight. I've gone about this all wrong

This was invective purely aimed at the less reasonable atheists who populate threads such as these, of which there are several. They have certainly exhibited characteristics similar to these, though obviously not so harshly stated. As for critical self-examination, well, I'm trying here
