I graduated as a journalist in February 1977 - I've been a journalist for 30 years.
I enjoy it most when I'm researching (because I love to get to know facts and feelings - the hows and whys).
No, I don't travel much - and the little I travel is within the Danish borders.
Yes, children - grand or not - have a tendency to keep you on your toes.
I can see, you have your hands full at the moment - also with moving.
with that.
Whereabouts in Australia do you live - and what are your interests?

Hi Tartaronne, how are you?As for me ive been a little run down with a bug, my daughter gave it to me as she brought it home from preschool. This winter has been a bad one this year with the bugs as already 6 people have died in Australia from the influenza type A viris.4 of those were children its so sad.It has been a very bad year for asthma sufferes too.I live in Corrimal which is a 2 hours drive from Sydney.Population im not sure as corrimal is 1 of many suburbs in the Illawarra.(wollongong area)My interests,I love to read, always have infact.I not long finished the Harry Potter series, and before that i read the clan of the cave bear series,i forget the authors name to that one as my mother in law leant me the books.I was totally fascinated with the books,i couldnt put them down actually, apart from that i love music i listen to just about anything except country and classical/opera.And before the kids came along i used to go out heaps when i wasnt at work,im a qualified AIN and worked in nursing homes up untill i fell pregnant. And now im a fulltime mum at home but next year when Amber starts kindergarten im wanting to go back to work,my partner no longer works due to injury and is on restricted duties for the rest of his life so i will go back to work and he will stay home with bubs. How about you what are your interests?

I've had a look at the map of Australia and am able to find the Wollongong area. Actually I haven't studied the map of Autralia before. Didn't even have a clue where to find Sydney when I started.
Mostly I work or do stuff in the house and garden. I read a lot, crime novels - by Scandinavian, Spanish, German, British and American authors. A long time ago I read some by an Australian author - I'll see, if I can dig the name out - ..hmmm.. (found a crime author database)- Arthur Upfield
I have always played music and been singing in everything from Baroque to rock music. Now my husband, Sig. S., and I play music together at parties - what we in Denmark call 'soup-roast-pudding music'. We play at weddings, 50th birthdays etc. - a little light music while people are eating.
I've also always been politically engaged - either in women's movement, unions, political parties, school boards etc...Right now I'm active in the Freelance Section in the Union of Journalists.
The summer is over, and all the meetings start again.
Otherwise there has always been children to take care of, play with, help with school work etc...

HI Tataronne, how have you been? After reading how busy your life is im jealous.hahahaha.Apart from getting the packing done and doing the house work and looking after the children i dont really do much else.
Once Amber starts school next year i'd really like to get involved in the schools activities.
And at least now i know you play in a band and that you do weddings i will know who to go to if we decide to get married.hahahahahah.
5 more days to go for the big move and im so excited,i cant wait.
And as for the author of books i dont really pay that much attention as if the piece of the back of the book sounds good i read it.I really love reading true crime stories though even though they tend to be sad at least its true. The last one i read was called never to be released and its about hard criminals doing life behind bars here in Australia.
Must be going as Lola has woken from her afternoon nap.
Take care and have a good day/night
