Thank you, EV and Menza. The reason you hadn't seen me the other day was that I am currently staying with my folks in Yorkshire. I've had a great time, drunk many a 
of such fine Northern brews as Tetley's and Timothy Taylor's, and I am now wearing a rather tasteful new Bradford City FC embroidered sweater bought for me by my ever-loving Mum and Dad. It was a pity that City were forced to mark the weekend of my 40th birthday by fielding Neville Southall, a goalkeeper who's even older and fatter than me, and who couldn't save them from losing to Leeds - but never mind. Perhaps I should offer to take his place next Saturday. 
I'm sending this from Shipley Library, West Yorks, but I'll be back in London tomorrow evening. Perhaps I'll see you for a or several then.
