The visit of Rebecca continues. We spent most of the day either walking and discussing my life and all its problems or sitting at home discussing my life and all its problems. At one point I was about to ask her when we were going to discuss her life and all its problems but in the nick of time some brain cell finally fired up and prevented the question from being asked which was quite likely for the best.

I got a surprise visit from the love of my life (Rebecca) yesterday. My heart was filled with joy when I saw her beautiful outline standing outside my door, a joy that lasted for a full twelve-and-a-half minutes before she started ripping my fragile self-esteem to shreds over my (as she perceives it) "chronic procrastination". According to her, it is this "character flaw" within me that is holding me back from experiencing the "adventure of life" instead of "living vicariously through your friends" as she insisted I do now. When I asked for examples she pointed to this on-line journal (which was her idea) and yelled that my title page was a joke (from the tone of her voice, in this instance being a joke was apparently not a good thing) and that I hadn't even bothered to write an entry for yesterday. When I tried to tell her I was busy all day she got very quiet and developed "that look"; having learned my lesson weeks ago, I wisely silenced any further protests and left for a long walk.

The day began.
The sun set.
The day ended.

The day has come and gone without any concrete action being taken by me to resolve the current difficulty that has erupted unbidden in my life. I am afraid I am going to have to call it a day and rethink this whole idea of change being good for the soul....

Hope to have better news to report tomorrow.

Woke up fully determined that today I was going to make a fresh start, finally pulling myself out of the apathetic rut that has held me back lo these many years from accomplishing all the things the mighty fates have decreed shall be mine. Unfortunately it was rather damp outside and so I have decided to stay in bed and wait for tomorrow.

I do hope there is something good on the idiot box to keep me company...
