Oh, it was ages ago. While the wife and I were looking at his past tales of heroism that he was spinning to all who would listen.

He mentioned a song by Dashboard Confessional from the film and said it really spoke to him about how he felt at the time.

Here was me thinking it would be either Chad Kroeger's "Hero" or Keith Harris and Orville's "I Wish I Could Fly"...

sorry took so long to respond - been training my ass off!! And loving every second of it. Looking forward to going back home, however NOT looking forward to the humidity!!

Still, it will give me a couple of weeks to train and settle back into Arabic life...

I'm getting on well enough, suffering the necessity of what you folks call a bank holiday. Oh, the hardship. A short working week that will be followed by a two-week sojourn to Rochester, NY. Ain't life rough?

If that phone-pic-clip every meets mail wires, you do have my address. I am always seeking new decor for Hallowe'en.

Off to Llandudnno today with my Nan - which will probably entail me finding a bingo hall with her and drinking copious amounts of bacardi and coke!!

Ah well - such is life. Went training yesterday and couldnt even stay on the boat for the whole session - felt that ill...I think it is because I really battered myself on Sunday - so am not going tonight...

And today the weather is cloudy, but the sun is trying to push through. Just been speaking to a friend on line who has told me that the huminity is shocking at the moment...*gulp*

Haven't seen the caped crusader recently, however, I thought I spied him yesterday avoiding walking down our road...I had to chuckle...

Ya know, Lady, you're supposed to be on holidays, not over-exerting to the point of illness. So this recommends copious quantities of bacardi and less measures of BINGO.

Well, I have to say that the trip with my nan was awesome - we had such a fab time. The weather was awesome and I ended up buying loads of stuff for my kids back home...hope you two are ok - today it is bloody freezing - I am actually wearing my mum's slippers and a sweater!! Boo hiss!!

Poor girl. In a couple of weeks, you'll be wishing and pleading for a chill again.

well - am not as cold as I was yesterday, but today I am feeling happy. I have had such a great time here but I am looking forward to getting a bit of sun back! I am meeting with a collegue today for lunch and this weekend the whole family is coming up for dinner, which I shall be making. I cant wait to see them all - I always have a fabulous time with my family. And how are you two today? Are you looking foward to the onset of winter? I must admit, I really do enjoy the winter months, especially when the sun is shining and it is crisp and cold...

So now, I shall get ready to go and have a bit of fun!

The day is starting at 12C, perhaps to reach a high of 21. It already feels like later autumn. Really a nice reprieve.

I am occassionally jealous of people who have a family they enjoy being with. So for yourself, and on my behalf, you had better have a lovely time, Lady. Or I may have to send my specially Sinanju-trained flying over there. And you'll never recognize him in his Wonder Woman disguise.

Well gentlemen, I shall be returning to the land of heat in a few days and I have to say that I am looking forward to it!!

But I have had an awesome time here and will be sorry to leave my lovely family and friends...

And on the other hand, I am looking forward to getting my little puss cat back and get right back into training there. Should be good!!

So I have to do a dummy pack today to see how much weight I have! And need to check with the airports and airlines vis a vis hand luggage and stuff...bloody terrorists need to get a life. Still, I dont think that they will bomb a plane full of Arabs leaving the UK...at least I hope not!!

So I had better get me some before I start this pack - I bloody hate packing!

Well gentlemen I have returned unscathed after having had to pass through the frolicks of Manchester airport, and being frisked in nearly every orofice! Is that how you spell it?

So back safe and sound, picked up Lady puss the next day - she was not well at all for a few days, could hardly walk bless her...

And am back in to mould minds again soon. Looking forward to going back to work. And how are you both?

Awww, ... lucky you. We passed through Customs from the US and back into Canada. And NO-ONE offered a single cavity search.

Well, I cant sleep right now and it is really doing my head in. I am usually very good at sleep and dont need help at all usually, but today!! WELL, LET ME TELL YOU - my head just doesnt want to go to sleep!!
