I belive Naturism is more in contact with nature whilst Nudism is ...what?
Naturism v Nudism

naturism = the orginised modern form of nudity as a lifestyle choice
Nudism = is the same but express in an olderterm and possible percived in a negitive way by the mahority of the populace
they are both the same the idea that skin alone works, its confortable, always in fashion and hold no class or orther posssible exlusionary conatations
in the ends its just semantics, and the perception of those who do not understand
naturisim/nudist lifestyles are no differant that any other "alternitive life style"
perception in general is the key, and the only way to alter perception is knloedge

Thank you DrDee 100 for your reply,
I have discussed this with others, Symantics, yes but the word nude has many similar sounding words, nude, rude, dude prude crude etc that make others think these are what we are about.
Sometime ago I was in a shop close to an island off shore (2 miles) where this guy was doing work. The assistant said to him "did you see the nudie rudies on the island". That would not have happened if Naturists was was used. By the way most in the shop laughed.
I have read that there is movement on this rating, Naturism is the love of nature where we are 'one with nature ' when we are unclothed. On the other hand Nudism is more what we Dinasaurs call Wife swapping or to be more politically correct Partner swapping and all that that implies.
I hope you do not find this offensive
Love and Light Sparkle Dinasaur.
