I'm subbing your article on the MacGuffin. You'll see the new entry at A45377490. Let me know of any problems or suggestions.

The first thing you'll probably notice is the changed title - my dictionary insists that the G is capitalised. Other than that your footnotes have both disappeared I'm afraid. We can't "see also" when no such entry exists, and the Citizen Kane comment is debatable and not really relevant. I also rewrote the "highly dubious" part into a separate sentence.

I wanted to ask you what you mean by "distort, swap or misrepresent a MacGuffin." Any examples of films that do that?

Yeah send it off if you think it's ready. It wasn't in peer review very long. I think there may have been some novice scouting involved. Not sure.
