i hesitate to suggest it but, but have you thought of doing adult education? 1 poor A level and the ability to spot the anthropic principle indicates an academic underachiever (to put it mildly)!

I have, but I can't think of anything I want to study. I'm allergic to maths, trendy people and words ending in –ology which only leaves Jazz, Nursing and Jazz-Nursing.
