For various reasons, I've been away for quite a time. Things don't seem to have changed a great deal, which is reassuring, as I hadn't quite mastered the Thing when I was last here!
I now have an adolescent hedgehog which I'm hoping to over-winter. he weighed 120gm when we took him in, and doubled that weight in 8 days, so I'm quietly optimistic. He's going on holiday with us next week...
I still haven't discovered how to address a message to an individual researcher, not private, just to direct a comment so the right person reads it - er, can read it should they wish!!
We've been watching the Swedish version of Wallander, and we're amazed at the difference in atmosphere and interpretation between that and the English one. You can guess whom I wished to contact, but I'd love to hear (hear??) what anyone else thought of it!

Hey, Lady Di!smiley - cool

Sorry, haven't seen either kind of Wallander - never felt tempted to read the books for some reason, so didn't bother about the films.

Oh, and I'm Titania, currently in Halloween disguise smiley - pumpkin

The best way is to click on their name and go to their Sapce, and click on the 'Discuss This Entry' button. This will start a thread on their own Space. Other people can still read it, of course, but unless they are subscribed or just happen to swing by, they are unlikely to see it.

Some people aren't subscribed to their own Spaces, so they may not see it right away.

Hi, LadyDig, good to see you here. Good news about your hedgehog. Haven't seen one for ages.

As for Wallender, I watched the first episode and found it too bleak for words, or perhaps it was my interpretation. Anyway, I didn't watch any more.

Take care, and have a nice holiday. I hope the weather is kind.

Thank you! Now it's on the table, so to speak, even I should be able to remember!

Hello, Webbie! D'you mean the GB or the S version? I assure you that the latter is immeasurably easier to watch. We'd heard such wondropus things about it that we thought we must give it another chance. The fault was in the casting, I think. I've never got on with the guy. (Not that that would bother him. Must get my Smiley page back.) Sees himself as an Olivier. Tee hee.

wondropus ? wondrous, even. What did Feisor say? "Preview is my friend"? How true.

The GB version LadyDig. I wouldn't know how to get the other! I am with you on the actOR, but to be fair I haven't watched him really, only seen clips. Some people think he is talented so perhaps his talents are hidden from us

I'm sure he's talented, but so was Karl Marx!!!! Joke. I'm so bored by him, but I couldn't do the job so why should I moan? Thinks: because I'm a customer and....

It was BBC4, which only the initiated can access, of course. I s'pose iPlayer might oblige, but that's so temperamental on /my/ pooter, anyway. Weds at 21h.
