Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the wonderful site of H2G2 (otherwise known as hootoo - you will see this word a lot). This is not an automated message, I am an <./>ACE</.>, and I'm here to help you settle into your new home

H2G2 is a living, breathing guide to Life, the Universe and Everything. Take a look in here: <./>info?cmd=art&amp;show=100</.>. It's something YOU can take part in. You can write entries on all manner of subjects, and if it's something you think would look good in our Edited Guide (where all the best research goes), you can submit it to Peer Review. Take a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> for more information on that.

I've created a little list of links, just for you, so click here <./>A4992357</.> and have a look at them (actually the links are my daughter's...but hey!! Hootoo is one big family )

If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo no sane person should ever go alone on this site.....

......but as it seems no one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!

Have a look around, pop into my personal space and read some conversations that I have on the go at the moment and you will see how things work. Don't be frightened to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those), just be aware of the thread you are reading and whether or not it is a private conversation between two people. However, if you wish to chat with one of them, click on the name tag and leave a message in their Personal Space.

Remember, if you get lost, shout for help and hopefully I'll be around to give you a helping hand. Hi Lil, Thanks for the intro.
It's taken me a while to start finding my way around, so thanks for the links, I'll be delving into them more deeply as I get my bearings, or is that marbles?

I'd like to improve my space with some graphics, any hints? I found some pics, but i'm not too sure how it works. I'm a bit of a techno-desert at the moment.

Checked out your space and found out how to add you to friends (if that's not too presumtious?!)

Sorry I missed the dance. - Hope your feeling a little happier now you slapped your server into shape! Mine does that far too often!
So if I disappear, don't take it personally.

To be able to use the pictures from the h2g2 Picture Library, you will need to click on EDIT on your Intro Page, scroll down and select Guide ML as your preference and update it..

You will then see:









You can put your pictures between the two BODY's..

You are a veritable Etha-angel.

Unfortuately, can still not find any smiles but will figure that one out as I go along.

Can only see 'preview message' and 'post message' under the box, maybe as I play with my settings it'll reappear.

Love your page, Sir Ian Mac Gandalf, and Dr Hook (I particularly like 'the millionaire' of theirs!)

And at some point will have to read those articles, (When the child is in bed probably!)

A note of 'constructive critisism' (I really hope you don't mind) feel free to give a verbal 'slap' if you do; when on your page there were a few things I found it hard to read without highlighting them, is that my settings or yours? - i'm not sure....

Have you changed your 'skin' from Brunel to Goo?

ie: Is your page background blue?

You have been into 'My Preferences' and changed the default skin from Brunel to Classic Goo.

You will lose a lot of things using that skin. It would be best for you to return to Brunel
