i have posted a public apology to you, amy, and all of H2G2 for speaking so sharply and taking things personally at http://www.h2g2.com/F46301?thread=71417&post=540458 i hope you will accept my apology and my explanation for the movies behind this publicity stunt gone horribly wrong.

By now I know, you've read the other thread and we should all be in friendship mode again. Thank you for posting! I am relieved that voting starts tomorrow and that the campaign is more or less over. It has been an interesting social experiment, and if they ever do it again I am sure they will change the rules more than somewhat. ;-) Just so you know, if I seem to be free with advice, it's cos I got my experience the hard way. In each case I had to eat humble pie. Note that I disagreed with how the whole angel thing went, but I only ever meant it wasn't the way I would do it, not that it was bad in itself. But the entities involved still felt what turns out to have been a lingering resentment. Which I am really sorry about. I'm pretty strong-minded too. AND I'm a Scorpio as well as you! Ack, mothers. Mine was Pisces, but we argued every day, it seems. Every day, except when we were having fun. She was, like, hyper-responsible which meant she tried to do everything for me or else keep me from having the experience in case I messed up somehow. She was afraid I was going to become a "bohemian", so of course that's exactly what I left home and did.

So I get a gut-reaction to authority too, which makes it strange to collect enough years to have become mistaken for one...
