Hi Fiend!
I am glad you didn't take it amiss when I posted you from the Continuity Department (which will have its own page soon!), and it's good that you are joining us regularly at the Aroma Cafe.
As you can probably see, I've been here for over six months now, and I have picked up my knowledge of HTML and GuideML very gradually. It also helps to be middle-aged, because then you have lots of experience to apply whether you like it or not. 
I don't have any graphics or counters or such toys, although I may in future.
I'll check out your page, but probably what you want to do is wander around h2g2 and find the sites that appeal to you, and just join in. And you must of course try your hand at writing an article or two, because in the end that's what we are all about, here.
