TELLING THE WORLD!!!!!!
Posted May 1, 2007
I've got a story published!!!!!!!!
For those who didn't know (i e EVERYONE ON HERE), I am an amateur writer. I sent my story "Melting" to echomikeromeo's Worthless Drivel website (www dot worthlessdrivel dot net--great site emily!)
And she accepted it. It is online as we speak, waiting to be read.
GO SEE IT! If you want to. It's under Fiction Central on the Worthless Drivel website. My friend Jessica keeps asking me whom the male character is modelled after. I'm not telling her yet.
I'm, all in all, VERY excited to be published. THANK YOU EMILY!

It's all greek to me
Posted Apr 27, 2007
For my science project, I have to do a paper about the constellation Virgo.
Thusly, I decided to look up the Greek alphabet.
Outstanding logic, right?
Heeheehee. So now, here I am on a popular online encyclopedia, looking up the darn alphabet. And here it is:
Alpha beta gamma delta epsilon zeta eta theta iota kappa lambda mu nu (those are my favorites--mu nu--) xi omicron pi (yes, like the math pi) rho sigma tau upsilon phi chi psi omega.
*pant pant pant* Like I said, it's all Greek to me. I knew the first seven or so by heart anyway, from my astronomy class, but the rest. . .?
But hey, I bet the Greeks would think our "modern" alphabet was horribly complicated too.

my insufferable little brother
Posted Apr 24, 2007
My brother posed an interesting topic for argument just now. I had been trying to avoid him, hiding in my room, and he said: "Poor *insert real name here*. Always trying to hide away from the real world."
I said what I almost always say in reply to that. "There's no such thing as the real world."
Seriously, that is what I believe. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE REAL WORLD. And I bet you all are thinking. . .. . .okay, crazy American girl going off into philosophical tangents here. . .but seriously. As that weird guy who was supposedly the real President of the Galaxy said, our universes are our eyes and ears. So my "real world" may be aeons different than, say, Mr. Bush's "real world" and whatever nonexistent nuclear weapons or underground terrorists he populates it with.
So thus, a messaging program like this is a moot point. All the little opinions I pour out on here never apply to anyone else except me. My thoughts don't belong in others' "real worlds."
But do I worry about that? No! I stay upbeat, despite the fact more and more people are leaving my "real world." But that's a whole other journal post. . .

boredom rears its greyish head
Posted Apr 20, 2007
hola to all. . .I'm in my English class right now. . .we're supposed to be working on research papers, but I already finished mine, so I'm on here. My paper is about duct tape. . .
does anybody even read these? I sure wouldn't just go out and LOOK for other people's journals to read.
I tried the other day to go through the FULL SMILEY INDEX. . . but I failed. But I did learn the type to get those cute yellow fishies that I thought were Babel fishes.
Turns out, they're just plain old fish. Ah well.
I'm leaving now! Goodbye!
