... I hope the ridiculousness that is the Young Researchers' Group didn't scare you off. I moderate it, but only half-heartedly. There's loads more to do around hootoo though, so I hope you're settling in!
Hey to you too. . .um. . .echomikeromeo. . .

yep. . . I decided I don't really care for being a Young Researcher. I can just cope with being a regular Researcher. . .that is, if they accept any of my entries. I'm doing one right now on the cliques of American high schools.

I think I started one of those a long time ago, but never finished it. They're hard to do, to include every single group and not be too specific to one's own school.

yep. Someone already did one on the various groups in British malls, but since I'm American and regularly frequent my high school (as in EVERY DAY), I would do better focusing on American groups.
But I don't know which would be harder--including all of the groups, or keeping away from generalities. Especially with describing the preps and losers and such. I (unfortunately) have to deal with these groups almost daily.

I can't understand why every freakin' time I drop into the YRC, everone's talking about cheese. Actually, it's not just the YRC, but everywhere on the site there seems to be several threads devoted to cheese. This is why I never post in these places anymore, because I'm particularly interested in cheese, and I never really have anything interesting to say on the subject. Not that I don't like cheese, I don't mind some every once in a while, but I can't understand why so many people around here are so obsessed with it.
Ok, sorry to interupt, back to you.

You're quite right, Wyatt. It must be one of those English things?

uh-oh. . .I wish I had known the thing about cheese when I signed up. Maybe then I wouldn't have made my name be drown_in_cheese. . .it's an inside joke with my mates, I swear. But it might be appropriate, given all the threads you see on cheese. . .
maybe I should have named myself popcorn. That's an inside joke too.

what's with the smilie?
drown_in_cheese Posted Apr 24, 2007
Seriously, I've never really known what that weird "" smilie meant. Its caption simply says Laugh, but to me, it looks more like someone puckered up after too many lemon slices.
what's with the smilie?
echomikeromeo Posted Apr 25, 2007
My interpretation is that it's got little arms with which it's holding its rotund sides because it's about to burst with laughter.
Who knows, though? Could be anything...
