Deathworld Trilogy - Harry Harrison (title belies contents, but the three books are quite neatly done social satires, and worth reading just for the story if you dont care about the politics. Which I never do.)
Chronicles of Zork - George Alec Effinger (based on very old computer games, but despite that is very very cleverly written. My copy is cherished.)
Recommend some back at me and I shall introduce you to some reaally good ones.

Hi there,
Thanks for your recommendations. I've come back to h2g2 at a good time; I happen to of recently come into the possession of some Book Tokens and I'm tempted by this Deathworld Trilogy...
I'll try to get the first book soon and I'll think of a recommendation for you over the next few days. I think a six month wait deserves at least something spectacular.
And I can genuinly say that I'm sorry for not replying sooner.

Hehe, nearly a year later Im clearing out some of my convo list and I spotted your reply, how goes it? Do you have those recommendations for me yet? Have you read the deathworld ones?
