The terrace of the summerhouse of The MonaLisaah
Researcher 825122 Started conversation Oct 18, 2004
All is quiet on the hill on which the summerhouse of The MonaLisaah reclines with a splendid view over the city of Florence and the river Arno. The cedars in the surrounding area wave their treetops in the soft summerwind.
The crickets in the high grass, sprinkled with poppies, thyme and marjoram, sing in unison a opera of longing, passion, betrayal and defeat. Ancient statues of Roman gods and goddesses lay broken and abandoned in the wild garden. A lizard is sunbathing on the stone fence of the terrace.
The shutters of the windows of the house are closed in defence against the heat of the mediterrean late afternoon. On the terrace in the cool of the shade of the hazelnut tree stand some chairs around a table neatly set for post-siesta pleasantries.

From one of the branches hangs a swingingchair in which the MonaLisaah slumps. She is taking her afternoon nap. .
