Sleep - a waste of time - plenty of that when we're in the grave. Only useful for the short oblivion it provides

My sentiments exactly. It's been scientifically proven that the older you get the less sleep you require. I just got my ass kicked at solitaire. . .isn't that weird?

Nearly 30, just 30 - I know it's about that for you if my memory hasn't completely failed me.
No longer a baby who needs more sleep than waking hours, not yet the very old man who only wants five hours because he is afraid of never waking up again...

Be seeing you.
Have a good night after you've read yourself to sleep.
How can you have beaten yourself at Solitaire - I tend to cheat!

OK, I guess the computer beat me. . .again and again and again. Unfortunately I will be 30 (that's not the unfortunate part) the very day after Christmas. I HATE CHRISTMAS! And then there's all the family hanging around. Don't like any kind of occasion or "special" day and I have to deal with two in a row. Since I'm down to 3-5 hours of sleep, maybe if I get to 40 I won't have to sleep at all?

The rate you are going, you won't survive another ten years!
Noted that you have broken your cello... How did that come about - a bit of a grand gesture for someone who seemed to love making music...

It was an accident, or a little deliberate act: it was done accidentally on purpose or it was a purposeful accident. I couldn't get it tuned and so I bashed it against the wall. Yes, I know, bashing it against the wall wouldn't get it tuned, so why did I do it? I can only shrug my shoulders and say, "I was in a foul, destructive mood" and it was far better that I bashed my cello than the person who put me in that mood. I'll get another one. . .damn expensive, but I've got to have one, don't I?

Whoever it was got you in that state should be avoided in future, if possible (if it was your father, mother or sister, that's a bit more compicated!)
Yes, you surely must get another cello - as I have already said "music the great healer"...Besides which, I can't imagine you without!

Certainly, I just got a DVD of the Lord of the Rings Symphony (which I saw in Atlanta) and I so badly wanted to play along.
So you imagine me?
Early Riser
Clarissa Posted Dec 18, 2004
Yes, I can draw a mental picture of you with all the info you have given about yourself since I've "known" you.
Wonder if you have a picture of me???

You're small with a professional appearance, not one for slobbing around, very light on the make-up, if any at all, and you've always got a purse or bag or something with you to carry books in b/c you never know when you'll have a spare moment to read that extra paragraph or finish that chapter.

Clarissa Posted Dec 18, 2004
You´re not far off, the bag with the books permanently with me, that´s for sure! No make up unless I have to "look my best"and even then no lipstick, you're right there too. Small? No, there isn't that much of me, I guess. Where you are wrong is the professional appearance, not a slob, but not the power woman look at all.

Yeah, give me bare, soft lips to kiss - no lipstick. So your style is casual sheek. Very nice. I'm usually wearing a tie, very business-like, except on weekends usually when I can lounge around in jeans and a t-shirt, not now though, too damn cold.

Too damn cold? Here the streets are like a skating rink - black ice, freezing wind...

Not sure I'd want to! Great big sweater needed for protection from all kinds of assault...
