Hi LeRue
I'm subbing your entry on the Irish Civil War - the revised version is at A5404286. If you could take a look at what I've done and make sure everything's all right by you, that would be great.
I've altered the text at the beginning slightly. h2g2 precendent requires that every entry be able to stand on its own, so I've tried to make sure that your entry does that, while still referencing the previous entries in the trilogy.
One question: what are TDs? Are they like the equivalent of MPs? And if so could we include a footnote perhaps?
Would you mind if we put the 4 billion euros figure in pounds, as that's standard h2g2 operating procedure?

I forgot to mention that I haven't added links yet, but I will do that ASAP.

TD's are the exact same as MP's, Its just Members of Parliament as gaeilge, Literally Teachtí Dala.
In the Ballyseedy massacre part of the entry, they weren't thrown into any water but into a bit of a pit. It was a land mine not a sea mine that was used, that was probably a little confusing on my part.
Otherwise Purrfecto.

Okay, thanks. Once I've got round to putting in the links (life's got very hectic all of a sudden) I'll send it back to the italics.

Actually misspelled Teachta Dála up there, christ my spelling is fractionally worse in Irish than in English.

Oh dear! Now I've gone and returned the entry with an error... I'll ensure it gets changed.

Yah, well I've been made learn it for 12 years and I still speak french better... the Irish educational system should be classified as cruel and unusual.

Actually wouldn't mind your opinion on this A6430303 before it heads to PR. Is it totally confusing?

I don't find it confusing. There are some grammatical errors here and there, but those will eventually be tidied up in PR or by the sub, so there's no point in worrying about them just now (unless you want to give the entry a very careful proofread and try to find them yourself).
I think it's ready for PR. Go right ahead!

hi
i am new here and have been checking out how to write for the Guide. i noticed your submission about the Irish Catholic battalion in Mexico, read it and found it fascinating! So i decided to look through your Guide entries to see what else you have done.... and i noticed a lot of good stuff that looks pretty complete but is not Edited, per se.
sooo.... i am just curious... why not? Take this one for instance.... what happened here? Why isnt it in the Edited Guide? i know its part of a Trilogy... is that it?
thanks ahead of time for anything you can tell me to help me figure this out

Hey there Fluffykerfuffle
Thanks for the compliments, these, I find, are always welcome.
Oh cool you're getting into GuideML, believe me you will eventually get addicted to it... it takes away part of your life...
Anywho, if you want to put a scary monster on your conversations all you have to do is at the top of your page in between and add and write your message in between and you're set. For example the first line of code on my page is
Hey, your leaving me a message. Be quick though... or else the <SMILEY TYPE="monster"/> will get You! ...Yah he isn't that scary is he?
Key: Complain about this post
