The reporters most of the time weave the story with words which I am pretty sure can be done from desk as well. There is no data or figures in their stories that supports the script and leaves the impact on audience and compels the authorities to address the issues or at least look into the matter. For the sake of doing it, reporters just just write, for example, "the production of Apples in J&K was comparatively less than the previous year". They don't bother to talk to concerned departments and ask them for the data. Instead they will just ask few fruit growers and generalize the whole issue.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
