you're welcome as always. i read the news and don't have any opinion about it. perhaps things like these are inevitable when government doesn't address the problems of minorities and just let them being suppressed and dominated.
chill, i am taking leave on eid, come what may. most of the work is done and there is just one more book to be edited and that one is quite small. will do that in two days.

i never said i'll eat less. i will eat same but will work out as well.

Pushed to the wall means, pushing (i.e., threatening someone by force, conspiring against someone, treating them cruelly, hampering their development, etc.) to the extent till the person feels that enough is enough and is compelled to do something about it. For example, India pushes the Kashmiris to the wall. hope i was able to explain it.

by the way, the actual term is pushed against the wall and has come from some physics theory which states that if you push something against the wall, the wall exerts its force on the object as well.
