I used to wear a metal brace on my right leg to help me walk. Then in July 2002 I had a knee operation. On Nov 2004 it fell to pieces and on Dec 2004 I re-entered hospital to have the thing re-built. This meant having to learn to walk again. First with a zimmer frame, then crutches and now one stick. So I was off for about ten weeks.
Glad to see you back. What caused the break off, if you don't mind me asking?
I will be frank, I haven't tuned into the mungojerrie site, but did enjoy the conversations you created when they joined in. Congrats on your first Hootoo anniversary. I'm toild there is ameet in July but I cannot attend, although I did the one held in July last year. It's interesting to see those behind the names in the flesh, as it were. I got to meet some very nice people.
You say you're back working again, Is this with the original people, or new employees.
Good luck. Keep in touch.

I recall the arguements you had with mungojerrie, who would appear in some of our threads. That's all.

Best wishes then for your interview. All the best, mate. Is Samuels a jewellers? Is that a rhetorical question?

Just typed www.mungojerrie.5u.com into PC and rather liked the butterflies on the right hand side. What do you intend to do withit?

i dont know what to do about the college thing it may mean quitting the jeweller job
the samuals thing wasnt a rhetoric i jus dont think i feel like a jeweller while i do it i jus feel like a sales assistant

A friend of mine's son went tom catering college. His uncle has opened a lodings putting people up and ther boy goes there and cooks at weekends. He is making some money out of it help with college and the old boy is able to provided decent meals to his guests and they both win.
Just treat the job as providing you with money till something else turns up.

As to cooking, I'm okay as long as it comes in a packet, and has instructions on the outside.

My girlfriends a great cook, though.

As to the sire, erhaps you should try something new.

I've worn them out.smiley - laugh
No seriously I was born with poly arthritic joints. My father was a leaded light window maker....He made stained glass windows for churchs. One day he was doing a private job for a Chinese lady by the name of Rose Li. He said to her that at 74 she moved better than his son at 10. She said bring him to me. She taught me Tai Chi. Her family's Tai, not the one you learn in dojos. I then moved onto Ba Kaa, and Wu Shu. I have worn out the cartlidges in my knees. It is more or less bone 0n bone. I have to go in again to have an operation on my left, similar to that on the right. They insert pieces of metal with a plastic piece between. It is learning Tai Chi that has helped me walk better and to move the body weight so it relieves pressure off the joints.

The right one is a bit stiff, still. I had 19 staples in the wound. The left one aches and is painful and locks up. But I'm sure after the operation it will be better. I will never have 100 per cent mobility, but I will have mobility. I hope it will be ok as the girlfriend and I want to go to America to visit her son, who lives in Florida. All we have to do is find Air fare. He will put us up. I need the knee well, as I want to drive us around while we are out there. Also to help exercise the knees I do ballroom dancing. Yes ok, get the chuckles out of the way now. But to do ballroom dancing you have to be fit.

You say you wish you could meet people etc. Of course you can, just put yourself out and about. Talk to people. At the last Hootoo meet I met B'Elana, a lady from Frankfurt. A really nice lady and it was interesting to meet some one from another country. Later on a second visit she brought her son, who is 13, with her and I gave them a tour of the building. So all you have to do is put yourself out, you meet people.

I do a lot of charity work, and you'd be surprised the amount of people you meet doing charity work.

B'elana is a lovely lady and she she says she is almost overt the TB, just a few more blood tests. She is back to worksmiley - somersault

I hope the singing in something you can use. Everyone has a talent. The art is to find that talent and make it work for you. I wish I could sing. My nieghbours like my singing, they throw bricks through my windows to hear me better. I have a voice that can fill the Albert Hall. People get up and leave to make room for it.
