Accidentally, Brecht stayed on the Island of Fyn after he was banned from Germany. His 'Drei Grosschenoper' had been a success in all major cities in Europe. After Hitler came into power mid thirties last century, he banned Weill's and Brecht's work and they went to into exile. Brecht left Germany to live for a year or so in a little village near Svendborg.
Well, I was there in the summer of 1995 if I remember well.
Perhaps you remember the summer of 1995?

School and music, eh?
Mind you, I didn't know that at that time. If I had, I might have payed more attention to my surroundings.
There was also a massive heatwave going on in all of Europe in the summer of 1995. From the beginning of July it lasted until the end of October. Well, anyway here I was stuck on this beach near Svendborg together with a friend with whom I had cycled through Northern Germany, to Jutland. From there we crossed the bridge to the Island of Fyn and from Odense we continued our journey to Svendborg.
During the day we would visit the city and husstle for work, at night we returned to beach, built a fire and ate roasted potatoes with butter. Mind you, we were almost broke. Almost.

And then, how do you mean? I was just wondering what music was on the radio in 1995! I really have no intention of becoming rude ... but weren't you in diapers?

I'm made a subtle inquiery into what music you were listening to in 1995.
We had this little radio with us, you know, just for listening to the news ... to hear what was happening in the world ... 'cause we were staying most of the times in some secluded areas ... not speaking to another soul for many days .... and when we met someone ... there was still the question if this person would speak a language comprehensible to us.
