Politician and Scientist
Posted Jul 19, 2004
Some quotes by Benjamin Franklin, see 'Benjamin Franklin - Politician and Scientist'
'They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.'
'Idleness and pride tax with a heavier hand than kings and parliaments. If we can get rid of the former, we may easily bear the latter.'
'We must indeed all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.'
Just as true today as it was during the American Revoloution.

Another day in paradise
Posted Jul 18, 2004
The skies are grey, and the rain is sprinkling on and off. The water being content to remain aloft, that which has fallen being absorbed by plants. Birds and bees drift about, searching for what they might find. The wind shuffles the leaves on the trees and below. Soon the day will flow into night, but the stars will remain cloaked within the mist. Flowers will shy away from the cool air, waiting for the sun, sure to return.
