The sun is shining and flowers are worth stopping to smell So ya got there, a few dramas but ya got there. I can't believe you forgot one of your new shiny toys but on the upside you still got all your fingers and toes and you're still breathing, everything else is a plus.
So i tried to send a quick email but got the bounce (see previous rant). I just got back from spending the w/end on rotto with the family. Weather was great, little on the chilly side but days were spent on sandy beaches, watching the waves and musing about the world. Strangely enough Scrabble seems to be the family bonding game of choice (strange given the patience of some of my brothers) so we played a few games of that too. Avoided contact with the water for a) temerature and b)great white sharks seem to be popping up in the shallowest wading pool (one had a poke at family fishing boat yesterday after that guy got chomped last week). Work is quiet (why I got a sec to write), wetlands is realeased and seems like it is filtering out in the world. No great reactions yet but we'll see.
Speakspeare sounds very cool and a great reset button. Being in England and watching the most famous english playwrite is what it's all about right? Hope this next stretch remains f*#@$ up free and well if things a looking a little gloomy I'm sure that a singing a few bars of 'Hey Nonny Nonny' will smooth out wrinkles..
take it easy..
RTK
ps. if you ever get an email working send me a 'hiya'
pps. (if the 'hey nonny' thing isn't working for you, go the other way: put on your best shock jock voice, raise the timbre of your voice untilk it is high and on the cusp of breaking and then start repeating " ! - you are a filthy weak maggot! You make me sick!! e.g "STA travel!! - you are filthy weak maggots!! You make me sick!! )

Hi Rod and CJ!
If you can't guess by the user name, i'm short, loud, and Ross is scared of me. That should explain everything.
congratulations for figuring out how to post on here - Rod, aren't you a bit old to be a techno-savvy net warrior?
anyway, I've finally got a real job at the MDBC now, as the only non-exec level in the GIS (sorry NRI) department, and i think i'm going to have a lot of fun here.
And CJ, he was fine after crying in the car on the way home : )

hehe how you doing kris? yes I knew it was you (you see my feeble old eye sight and senile old mind aren't quite as bad as you think ) *laugh* It's been cold in the old capital town, Canbrrrr!a, how's it working out for you?
Murray Darling job sounds good, hope you enjoy it there. Funnily enough I did some salinity risk assessment on the lower MDB for EA and actually was part of their GIS review in 2001 , what a small world! (http://www.mdbc.gov.au/naturalresources/GISdata/pdf/final_report.pdf.) Should be interesting and if the people are good, even better
Carol probably told you I am working at EPA now (oh the relief - no more Special Needs Kids!) It's working out busy but effective and I am regaining my humanity again ( yay!)
Anyways what all this about you making the boys cry? (..and dont obstrificate!)
killer!
