Hello Galaxy Babe. Yours is the first (and so far only) reply to my inane ramblings. I've tried going on a few of the Beebs boards, but it seems to me the same old names keep cropping up, so I'll come here for a while instead. My wallet-drainers are 13, 9 and nearly 10, and before I became a parent I was a bus driver. Now I drive long-distance HGV's to get away from the little bu**ers!

*falls over with shock*

Forgive me but it's *so* rare to get a response to a greeting, I've forgotten what I usually say!

Oh yes, what a wonderful age, I have a 9 year old grandson - and my own youngest is 14 this month.

Beeb message boards? I can't keep track with them, the h2g2 convo threads are the best I've ever encountered, I mean, if you get fed-up with someone rambling or ranting you can just unsubscribe and you never have to read it again. You can put people in your friends' list so any new journals they write pop up on your message centre. Very, very handy

You'll soon make friends around here. Have you found any interesting articles? What's your nectar? Nature? Beer? History? All here, just feed a word into the search engine and off you go! Authors appreciate feedback so do let them know you've enjoyed (or not!) their musings, a click on their name will reveal whether they're still around or not.
