Nasca Lines
Posted Mar 22, 2005
About 2000 years ago, some South American people called the Nasca decided to make 15-foot wide line in the desert, 100's of mile long, by pushing the rocks and volcanic topsoil to the sides to reveal the lighter dirt underneath. The lines have stayed exactly as they were 2000 years ago because of complex processes involving heating and cooling and wind which i won't go into. They made designs so large that they can only be made out fromm an airplane(which the nasca didn't have). Anyway, one of the designs is a monkey that's 1200 feet across.
