h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

If you write a bit about yourself in real life or as a persona on the site on your user space it helps people to find a topic to communicate with you. (If you like a particular type of music, have a hobby or do a particular kind of job for instance) If you want to write something - such as a journal you can do it on your own space by using the Journal Entry function which just says something like "Journal entry click here". Other people will then comment on it if it catches their eye. If you are looking for a chat you seem to have found out how to contribute to a thread - but the one you have currently chosen, (Hey) is one of our youngest members threads and I think they aren't sure how to advise you. Some threads lend themselves to this more than others. Finally if you see a thread with a lot of red dots it means that there are lots of pages of dialogue. A common mistake on a thread like that is to reply to something that was said years ago. Click on the rightmost red dot in the string (or the right arrow if there is one) and that will take you to the current bit of conversation.
