Great to read some background - at last! I wish I had something as interesting to write. Maybe one day ......

Hiya BillyBob
D'ya know, if you ask anybody about themselves I guarantee most will say, "there's not much to tell", until you get them talking. People don't seem to realise how interesting they can be to others, simply because things they have done are kept in their head Archive and are just 'there'.
Reminds me of an anecdote I once read about a young couple who bought a smallish house, later on they decided to start a family and thought they would buy a larger property.
They put their house on the market and had lots of interest. When they read the property description they thought "hang on, it's just what we want", so they took it off the market and built a small extension.
No-body stands on ceremony around here, if you have a good look around there is loads of fun and some pretty heart rending life stories and discussions going on.
You've joined the larger family and started on your extension just dive in. I've been here a lot longer than my number suggests, but log-on probs made me do the Dr Who bit.
I bet you are a lot more interesting than even you think!!!

What a kind thing to write, TriQuack. Maybe when I've come out of my own private heart-rendering story, I'll be brave enough to be less anonymous on my PS.
In the meantime, see you back on the battleground!
PS I really have hurt a finger and can't type the replies quick enough at the moment - as if I could type fast enough in the first place

Hi BillyBob,
Nice to hear from you, I might have a few years more behind me than you so I speak from the heart, this place is probably the best group of friends you will ever have, ( and a few you can have a go at if you feel like it, if you go through my conversations you will see that I've had a couple of spats, just say what you think and move on, let them worry about it ).
If you have a story but don't know how to go about and think it might help, why not try third person, you know 'Once upon a time in a Town...........etc, I think you would be amazed at the number of responses you get, especially if you just join in other threads, people tend to go staight to the space of a new contributor and have a look, I know I do.
I bet you think you are on your own, whatever your story is, but I guarantee you are but one of many, it's like the song National Express 'all human life is here'.
I once chopped the end off my little finger, halfway along the end bone when I was four weeks into a six week intensive motor driving course, don't it HURT, you seem to hit it with everthing you touch...
Big ..
Quack.
PS if your story is too long to type in one go you can always do it on wordpad/notepad/word processor and cut 'n paste when you set your story page up.

Hi TriQuack,
Thanks for the cut and paste tip
I know I'm not on my own but when it is happening to you, and it hurts so much, you feel like nobodyelse in the world could ever feel the amount of pain and hurt that you are feeling. I have made some friends and they have been so supportive, offering their opinions and advice. The truth is I know what I should do but I am just finding it so hard to do it. I'm the eternal optimist and keep hoping on hope that I won't have to make the hardest descision of my life so far.
Like you, I check the PS of people I'm interested in and have read some stories that make me go 'BB, shut up!', yours included. That's how I knew you had finally put some info on your PS.
As for the finger, everyday it gets a little bit better
Thanks for the and words of wisdom, both are appreciated
Take care of yourself, BB

Hi Billybob,
Thanks for the message and the most appreciated. I had a few problems with serious foot blisters and infection which I think came from the Chiropodist. Took me off my feet and made me a bit
Easing back in now, sneak up on you shortly

Hey! TriQuack! How the devil are you?
I'm not around as much as I used too but when I have been here, you certainly haven't. Glad to see you and hope all is well with you

PS, I have given a birthday party today of megaproportions and I'm too tired to really get stuck in and play but it warmed my heart so much to see you in the Enchanted Forest polishing your weapon

Thanks for the welcome back BB, it's a long story and not good reading. But I heard today that a younger friend of ours has just had some worse news. She had a breast removed some monthe back due to Cancer. They've just told her that tests reveal it has spread to her femur, ribs, liver, brain and ovaries, gawd she's only 34, makes my problems sound like a bloody toothache so I'm not going to go on about it.
Chase you round the Oaks later
