just returned from a 3 month overland trip around your fair land, mate. Sydney to sydney, Can't wait to return to do the west. I'm thinking of adelaide/perth. What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea! 
Best time to come would be between November and Feb/March. Adelaide not much to look at other than churches and wineries but if your going to Adelaide then maybe go up a bit further and check out Ayres rock. Perth has many sights though as does W.A. so would be worth your while. You'd need at least 3 mths to really check out W.A.
