in Collective if I click on your name against a post it goes to your Collective homepage but if I click on yr name at the top of the discussion it tries to go to your home page of R3, which doesn't exist of course

isn't that interesting? smiley - zzz

Ooer i went to Mimi's now spoiled personal Space and saw no postings there - I then changed the URL to this (trying to reach her Discussions page)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/radio4/MP2364101

and found all her posts listed there in the h2g2 format.... wonder if they'll be there again or it was a fluke...explanation please!

can't explain exactly because I don't know the workings of the system but they've bu**ered things up is basically the answer. hence why different people have been affected differently.

I've worked with programmers for years and they haven't much idea what they're doing most of the time, those who work for the BBC MBs are not going to be of the highest calibre, hence all the shambles. Mind you they probably didn't even get a proper specification of what it was they were supposed to be doing since the whole concept of trying to keep MB people from going onto h2g2 seems to be flawed. I do think that no-one really has much idea of an overall design for the DNA system
