h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I Started here at H2G2, quite sometime ago and have just come back.
You happened to be the first person I picked to see another site, very nice! I happen to be in the study of Latin, and my brain requires much feeding.

I came back to H2G2 in Black mood having just done what I said I'd never do..........and that was see the H2G2 movie, saw half of it, Vogon poetry would have been less painful.

Well, as I said in my PS, I'm not really into SF, so although I've read the book and listened to the radio series, I haven't seen the movie. Dunno what Vogons are really, much less Vogon poetry!

Ah my sinister pickle eater..... "The guide" has gotten me though some very rough times,the humor,word play and social commentary are grand.
Truly it is not SF, perhaps it is time for a reread?
I had it tossed to me in 1984, I laughed till I cried, and when finished my only thought was "Brilliant"! He could craft words so beautifully and carry such an edge.

I have posted some quotes to the quote board, care to take a peek and venture a guess.

I'm here in the US and it going on 3:30 am, so I am off to bed soon
