Hi BigAl
If ever you deicide to write that entry on shield bugs, i have a lovely photo you could put with it if you wanted. 
I get loads of Hawthorn Shield bugs in my garden, mainly because a native hedgerow runs along side my garden; which is 80% Hawthorn. They are easy to photograph as they sit on a leaf for ages basking in the sun.

I think an entry on them would be very good, they are under estimated in the insect world. Lots of people see them and wonder what they are.
