h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well the first full day with the kids is over. We started the day all sitting down to breakfast and deciding what to do.
It went well. as soon as the locksmith had gone we piled into the 4x4 and went to Cheyney Farm. They have all sorts of farm animals that the children can feed and stroke, a big play area and an exotic creatures house where only the YGD and me were brave enough to get up close and personal with some of the creatures. We both allowed ourselves to have hissing Madagascar cokroaches crawl over us and the we both had a huge, a beautiful tarantula as big as my hand, crawl up our arms. The rest of the family were chicken and The Boss wouldn't even go into the crawlies house.
We spent about four hours at Cheyney, had our picnic there, and then went to Hayle park for an hour. Home for lunch and then the children and I went down to the beach for a swim. The water was so cold but the kids really enjoyed it. Home at 7:30 and a nice relaxing evening. So far so good.
