h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Off to Truro this morning for the O.U. presentation. Met a few interesting people and picked up leaflets about my course.
Went to the fete this afternoon and bought back one of the cakes The Boss made yesterday. I asked for a slice when she made it and was told I would have to buy it if I wanted it , so I did.
I have just checked my order with the rose company and although I only wanted to order one rose when I went on in fact I have ordered sixty quids worth of named rosesHow am I going to explain that to The Boss When we were in Pz this afternoon we saw a police wagon pull up on the quay and half a dozen cops got out and bundled three young men into it and drove them off. We are not use to that sort of thing down here, I wondered if they were asylum seekers as it was on the quay. I expect the local rag will have something next Thursday
It started out cloudy this morning but soon brightened up and has been warm and sunny most of the day.
We watched the dance programme earlier. it made us a bit sad because we were ballroom dancing mad when we were young and became quite good at it. ah well we can't be first and last too and I think our early days were pretty good. No drugs about in the fifties like there is today, and young people didn't seem to have the need to get stinking before they could have a good time.
The Boss has had quite a good day today with little pain
