What a night! High winds and pouring rain. My beautiful begonia hanging basket torn out of the wall by the wind. When I looked out this morning the sun was shining and I could see the LOngships lighthouse. The waves were so huge they were breaking over the top of it. It is now all automated but storms like this must have happened when there were keepers on board. it must have been scary for them.
Went to see A.the v first thing, checked the Eldest Son's floweres which had not been blown out of the pot which I thought might have happened.
The son still hasn't brought my coat backsmiley - grrI spoke to him this evening and he has promised to bring it back tomorrow.
Met the gang at lunch time. The Crab Man 'phoned and said he would not be coming Wednesday lunchtimes anymore 'cos The American Girl would always be there and he did not want to see her again.
The sun has been in and out all day but no more rain so far.
I nodded off in the chair this afternoon, I suppose it's an old man thing, but I don't feel old. in fact i don't know what 'old' is supposed to feel like! I know that we try and get as much fun out of every day that we can, smiley - biggrin
We haven't seen The Blonde for a day or two. She is the most quiet neighbour we have had. And there is an air of mystery about her. She is beautiful, single, people do not visit. She obviously has independent means. (The Son told me she bought the house for cash.)
We have had all sorts of theories from 'she is on the witness protection programme' to 'she is a high class escort but doesn't bring her work home'
The wind is getting up again I think we are in for another rough night.
