Just as I was going to bed last night my goddaughter rang to tell me her mum, our best friend, is in hospital with pneumonia.we went to see her this afternoon, she does not look very well, she is on a drip and as she had leaukemia two years ago it is all very worrying.
I forgot to put in yesterdays journal that I was trying to repair an extension lead to use on my angle grinder and after cutting a piece of wire and taking off the rubber coating on the wire with my teeth, I dropped the wire on the ground to pick up a plug and the wire gave a bang and fused all the lights and plugs in the house. it was only then I realised that I had not unplugged the extension when I found out it did not work and I had put a live wire in my mouth. I have no idea why it did not give me a shock and kill me, but it didn't. I think The Boss could have when she found out what I had done to cause the blow out. I managed to fix all the fuses in the box as I keep everything I can possibly need for emergencies in my tool shed. Then at lunch time I bought pasties from the local shop for us and bit into mine only to find a piece of plastic trying to get down my throat. I took pasty and plastic back to the shop, got my money back, another pasty and a large saffron cake for my trouble. So that was O.K. then. Saw the Son this morning for a coffee and a chat. He won't be able to put the boat in the water this week end as it is too choppy, there's sad.
The Boss is feeling better again today, which is a relief, I had thought about calling the doctor for her but she says it is not a problem ...yet.
the weather is still pretty good. We have had a few clouds around and the wind has a keen edge to it but generally it has been pretty good.
