This has been a really good day, two in a row is pretty dam good for us. We went out for lunch to a Little Chef because we had a voucher for 50% off. I had a salmon steak which was very good, The Boss had cod and chips which she said was good and the bill was only eight quid.
Then we went to Trerice an Elizabethan manor house near Newquay owned by The National Trust. There were loads of people looking around the house and most of them were like us-old!
After we had bought some plants and a little pair of 'wellies' to put by the 'phone to keep pens in, we drove to the other side of Cornwall for a cream tea at Helston, and as there were plants there we bought some more for the new flower bed I have made in the garden.
I saw my son's speed boat this morning. It is wonderful. Eighteen feet long, seats six and will do 45-50 knots. I can't wait to go out in it.
I really like keeping a diary this way. I can't think anyone else will bother to read it but I enjoy doing it. I wonder if I will be able to keep it up?
