Might as well write something
Posted Jan 27, 2007
I really can't stand having a blank journal. I already double post my entries and don't want to triple post, but maybe I will have to start. Will I really remember? I doubt it! Maybe this could be totally orginal content. Ha. Ha ha ha ha ha! Not going to happen. I've got too much other stuff going on. I am totally overwhelmed with the freelance writing job I took on. I thought it was going to be easy, but it is some hard core serious stuff and they actually expect us to be professionals. I guess I am a professional, but I am not used to being treated like one. My dear toddler doesn't generally expect me to know big vocabulary words and theories of launguage development.
I have to brush my teeth instead of writing this journal that is not a journal. I bought a different brand of toothpaste this time and it always makes me think that someone stuck some buttercream frosting on my toothbrush. It smells very sugary and is a bit disconcerting. I guess toothpaste wouldn't have sugar in it. Speaking of sugar, I need to go to whole foods and see if they have evaporated cane juice or other sugar alternatives. They would be good for me and good for Erik, but my taste buds might protest. I did try some kind of organic raw sugar and it didn't work out all that well. The cookies came out way too crisp.
My poor son is going to be condemned to a life of being the weird kid with the hippie mother. Honestly, though, I just can't see why any 15 month old needs to live solely on chicken nuggets and cheetos like my sister's two kids. I guess you just feed your kid the things you ahve around and that's what she has around. We feed our kid hummus and curried lentils. I guess her kids will enjoy school lunches a little more than ours.
