I have also got to try and do some research on the grey squirrel's 'dilemma' and their point of view.

Most people who have never met a red squirrel think that grey squirrels are cute little creatures. There may be a way to save them all without any harm done.

As I'm in Australia I'm not all that "up" on the squirrel problem - though I have read a little about it. Sounds interesting ...

I've just been speaking today with some people who had seen a programme about 'eating squirrels'... I am not so sure I would go so far as to eat a grey squirrel. They carry a virus which is deadly to red squirrels, I don't know yet whether it is deadly for any other species. You should see what a red squirrel looks like with squirrel pox. It eats away at the squirrel's flesh and it certainly is not a pretty sight.

from an Aussie's point of view, it would be nice if we could infect cane toads with something like that.

Have you written an article about cane toads?
