...I don't think that I've offered any scribblings to you in the past...just admired your work from a distance (not in a stalker sort of a way, honestly)...I may well be up for this party of yours if I am invited..?..Damp squib or not spare minutes are what we make of them and god knows I don't get many spare minutes at the moment....Work permitting you could class me as 'highly-probable'....can we bring guests..?..anyway, more questions later.......and good on you for organising this night...It's easy to be cynical....oh yeh...'Sticky fingers' is a gem.......

OF COURSE you are welcome- the more the merrier!
I will dig all the neccessary links for you to subscribe to; we have a MSN Party Group up and running. It has pics of the venue for the Sat night and some pics of those going, plus who IS most likely going for the 12th March.
I've seen ye around too, via my wee Northern pal Sir Kinnell and of my other mad, yet lovely partner-in-crime 'MrsLooRoll' (The REAL Loobyloo!!!).
And yes, you can bring a guest as long as you promise not to eat them or anything. Will you be needing accomodation?
Cheers for rading any of my mere mutterings and musinds, appreciated. I really should more R&R myself, but tied up with saving this place - ha! For what it's worth, why bother?!
Anyway, do you wat links? i can get them in next 5 mins... BTW, I'm dwinkig too...
Happy Daze..

Well loobedboobed,
Sign up and I'll let ye in to the Party group - go have a nosey and introduce yourself.
BTW, there are a few of us booked in to the Edgebastion so that'll be thee mad place too. Also for all Rugby fans. we're hoping to maybe meet to watch it up the road from there on the Saturday afternoon, as there'll be Lynda and me from Éire and wanting to cheer on the home team to victory. I'm there for the amber glowers, while 'missus' is a 'real' live Rugby fan. Think some of the others might go to the chocolate factory and bring us back some treats instead.
And use away at whatever mumblings I tend to dribble-drop. Haven't been able to write anything but wee 100 worders lately, and I would call myself a bleeding poetress! Ach, damn that amusing, confusing muse.
Awh well, I'm on my second now.

Well, on your word we shall go as none of us seem too familiar to the area and we do want a decent pub to get started in!
My brother lives in Acock's Green and had suggested O'Neills, (he once managed the one in Dundee), and that it was close by - so we are all open for suggestion. 'Selly Oak' sounds like a welly soaking place - you'll have to leave diirections to it though for those to find it. That can be done on the GW Party MSN Group and announced on the party thread here. Oh, and plese do bring Mrs wife too - she might find that 'some' of us are OK and don't bite or talk in rhyme all the time and I've got mine...
Maybe we'll have a 'virtual' scrum of a party on the appropriate threads before the twelfth for a warm-up....

...wifeys a love...she says Im not romantic but I post poems for her all the time but she wants flowers and teddies and the trappings of feckless love...what do you do eh...Ah Acocks green..I work two minutes from there...small world....but not if your walking round it on ya handies....Keep thinking of better still places..Harbourne would be a fiver in a taxi from Edgbaston and there are nine or ten good pubs in a mile long stretch..mmmmm...

Ok, mister loooooooooooooobishios,
You have a job to do! We will let you choose the 'Dwinking Establishment' for us thirsty fans on that sunny Saturday.
It's really for convenienc and hopefully walking distance from where the majority of us are staying and easy to find for those arriving in the afternoon from trains etc... The kind of joint that might let yu flick yout fag ash on the floor and shout if we score????
The venue for the actual Saturday night is the place mentioned on the GW Party Group. That is a good place is it not?
As for the lovely wife - use your imagination and it is not a new toaster or a free tea-set. Swear.
I will be only staying in A'G on the thurs & Sun night and will remain indoors after 9pm. My Mammy tells me too.

...oooh yeh...AG is as rough as a rhinos scrotum.......Only one pub in walking distance and that is O'neills in Edgbaston...Im sure it is an O'neills now-used to be 'the cricketers'......Whats your hotel called again..?..Edgbaston is a big place...about twice the size of Derry....I will pointcha in the right direction even if I cant make it...(highly improbable..I quite fancy it now)....

PenJen Posted Feb 21, 2005
It's NO WAY twice as big as Derry!! (How d'you know where i was from, Detective Loopy, eh?).
I'll have ye know that it takes you a good 15mins walk from my house to the end of the street and THAT'S BIG (of me to walk very, very, very slowly...).
It's the Thistle place. Can't remember the name of the road but about 25mind fromthe city centre, am I right?
Was in A's G fr the brother's wedding in the whatyenaycall the place there - was a lovely place and the barman went to school with Ozzy. They didn't know how to make Irish Coffees or a Hot Whisky. Had to cut the fecking lemon myself and add the sugar... Tut, tut!
So, Mr Brummieloop - tell us all the cool places...
..Hi penJen...
