Hey Jen,
Thanks again for the praise on the 'PWT' short, you know how much that story means to me.
I have a coupla questions. How exactly do we 'grade' these 60-worder things? Are we supposed to explain them to the people who critique them, or should we just let them form their own opinion of the work? Is the 1-10 scoring done by everyone in the group, or done by whoever is running the group? How many of these things am I supposed to crit? (I feel my critique quality has gone way down). I was under the impression, when I joined, that everyone wrote ONE story on up to 4 topics; not a seperate story per topic.
Gee, guess I had more than a COUPLA questions.
I'm just afraid I won't be able to fill my obligation to the group if I have to critique up to EIGHTY stories per month (if my math is correct), as I have limited access to the internet. I DO like being in the group, but I don't want to feel as though I'm using the group for my own gain.
Please respond,
Love,
Word Challenge? Aggh!

Hi there Handsome,
I know it sees like a hell of a lot of work, just discovered that myself this evening! Although I've read them all. and left comment (although that wasn't neccessary), I will have to go over them all agani to refesh my memory. Time will be a problem for me too.
For this batch of stories, yes, each one is to marked, by you, on a scale from 0.5 - 10, (most within the range of 7).
You are not expected to leave any comment or reasoning as to why a specific score for a specific story.
There were a lot of entrants this time, (5 new writers I had especially informed, you included), and it seems most tackled more than 2 of the titles. I think it has been discussed since that participants are only allowed to enter one or two works from here on in.
If short on time - read a few ata time, take note of a 'score' for each, (holding back on the one's you are most impressed with until the end). Do this in short bursts soon as, as they will have to be pasted up by Friday on the same thread as submissions.
Everyone who is in challenge posts up scores, regardless if they have done 1 piece or all four. There are 66 this time, so 64 for you to mark! Fecking hell that is a lot to score!! I reckon there won't be as many next week though.
Anyway, I hope this helps clear up a little for you. I guess I'd need to get cracking too. Just count yourself lucky that you don't have to tally the marks up. Good luck!
Plus I meant all I said about/on 'PWT'. It was an exceptional piece, and as I've said before, thanks a million for putting forward 'Shoved Love' for the anthology. Greatly appreciated.
Anyway, take care and speak again soon,
Jen
