h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

nevaristhebest/newboyman etc, this is to let you know that earlier this evening I reported one of your posts to the staff who run h2g2 with the comment that after several weeks and much effort from various ACEs to help you on site, your postings are still inappropriate and disruptive.

I did this since h2g2 deserves better than to have yet another row caused among researchers because they've been wound up by someone who doesn't know how to treat others, or doesn't care about upsetting them or spoiling conversations.

A thirteen year old boy deliberately provoking a nine year old girl is wrong. Wrong no matter who did what first. Jumping into people's journals without sensitivity is also wrong, as is entering threads like the sarcasm one without understanding.

h2g2 has limited staff time and limited finance. Both could be used to better value than in dealing with quarrels and moderated posts.

To remind you of the rules you agreed to when you signed up:
No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.

(Note the mean-spirited bit there. Someone else being mean-spirited first is no excuse.)

If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts.

(That will include the account where you behave and that you opened these later accounts to protect when, as you've stated yourself, you knowingly broke the rules you'd agreed to by spamming.)


I've posted to tell you this because I think you've some intelligence and could get a great deal from this site if you chose to use it properly. If you use it to make friends and learn from others, it's got a great deal to offer.

If your word, given when you agreed to h2g2's terms and conditions when you registered, means anything, you'll start trying to abide by them.
