It might be an non issue. Gnomon checked the new site and my messages seem to be intact there.

Well, tbh, the Eds couldn't see the problem either until I gave them a copy n paste of your convo and message areas.

All the downloading by the Techs might have disturbed that old glitch

Well, they have a cached version from three weeks ago on the new site, but that will be replaced when they make the Great Migration. I very well could lose my messages on the new site as well if this isn't fixed quite soon.

At least it's just my messages. I didn't have many and few of them were vital or memorable.

Moonhogg lost his message centre for months and then it suddenly turned up again. It will still be there hidden in the cache. Pastey will find it, eventually

In the meantime we will just have to jump into one of your threads if we want to catch your attention

Well, no replies yet and I'm sure everyone's gone home by now. If I don't hear anything tomorrow I'll just assume it's too late to fix.

At the urging of Kea, I just searched through more than two years of my convos before I found something from my message center. So it appears that the threads are still there even if the centre has been torn down.

It could have caused a lot of problems if threads actually disappeared without the Eds to follow them through. So I was never concerned about that.

I think you just tripped that old glitch when you changed something in your Intro Page. It hit a number of Researchers a few years ago and resurfaced again about 2 years ago when the Techs were fiddling under the bonnet before. The current download probably brought it back to the surface
