My name is Feisor and I am an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) here at h2g2. It's my job to welcome you to the site and hopefully show you around a little. I AM a real person, not an automated reply not an automated reply not an automated reply .
Welcome to h2g2 – not just the friendliest on-line community but an incredibly huge, living, breathing guide to Life, the Universe and Everything. It’s compiled by researchers just like you and it's something YOU can take part in. You can write entries on all manner of subjects, and if it's something you think would look good in our Edited Guide (where all the best research goes), you can submit it to Peer Review Take a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> for more information on that.
I hope when you get to know us a little better you'll open your personal space and tell us a little about yourself - but there's no rush - and it's not compulsory
We ACEs are volunteers here to assist new researchers so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
You can leave a message on my space just by clicking on my name at the top of this message or by hitting the reply button below - it won't hit back (usually).
I have made a "Hints and Links for New Researchers" page at <./>A719840</.> - if you go there it will lead you to all sorts of places which will help find your way around and get to know this wonderful place. It should keep you busy for a while
Oh, and don’t forget to bookmark not only your space but the H2G2 <./>FrontPage</.> - it’s a great way to stay in touch with what’s happening and leads to all sorts of corners which you may otherwise miss.
I am sure that you will love this community as much as we do There's lots of things to see, clubs to join and people to meet - please don't be shy - just jump right in - this is a friendly place. But be careful - it can become quite addictive - believe me I know
Enjoy!!
Have fun!!!
and above all !!!
Feisor

Thanks for the welcome Feisor. Addictive – I believe you! Sure I'll be putting on some stuff about me in due course. It's great to join in already. Here's a thought, though probably not original. Brussels would make a great setting for a Euro version of MC – have to call it something different of course, Parvis St-Gilles maybe. There's a fabulous transport system so plenty of scope for great gameplay.

What's MC - I'm in Australia ....
is it something that I should know?
Mornington Crescent??
Anyway ... if you have any questions about this place drop me a line here and I'll get back to you asap
How are you liking it so far?

Yeah, you've got it – Mornington Crescent – a game so incomprehensible that mere mortals are inclined to think it's just a load of nonsense! It keeps many of us amused though and out of trouble (more or less) so obviously no bad thing.
The site's great fun and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'll spread the word a bit too.
One thing puzzles me. I've travelled a lot in the world but never to Oz. How do you get on for being upside-down all the time?
Regards,
eldeedee

Oh we're not upside down - we're the right way up, it's you lots that have got it wrong
Never mind we'll think of you while we spend Christmas in a sunny, warm Oz
There's a MC game here on hootoo - have you found it yet?

OK, I'll concede that you guys have got that bit right, a warm sunny Christmas would be pretty good. Mind you, does that mean you suffer the cold and damp in June when we're basking in sunshine – in our part of the UK anyway! – or are you somewhere that really doesn't do cold 'n damp?

I have an English friend here who says that our winters are like English summers
I'm in Sydney and even when Sydneysiders complain about the bad weather they are relatively lightly dressed. When it rains (and in recent years it doesn't do that often enough) it is only for a day or so - not a perpetual drizzle for weeks on end.
Yes, the weather here is pretty good
