PS I bet that christmas, the one when you were thin and got all dressed up in red and danced to Mark Almond in "tul na rís" disco is the same christmas I, too, was thin and at Lepoardstown on St Stephens day was about to lose the new house deposit money on some "good thing." in the 2 o'clock - As you tell it yourself in that marvellous tale "Saving Christmas Past" (editors choice no less), "Beautiful Moments."

Tell ye a secret - I'm still thin, although seem to be shrinking!

And as for Boxing Day races - Aha! You came to your senses in time! I actually used to live around the corner from there in the same year, (Lepardstown Court which housed a dog clled Snoopy who liked polomints and suckig his owner's toes - don't ask!), that said 'Christmas piece originally stemed from back in 1992; so ye never know we could have crossed paths. Pity ye didn't slip me a fiver then. Was a penniless student, now a copperless worker!
