Just simply confront your falsehoods.

You can do it without losing face.

Everybody tells lies at some point. The problem with yours is that you have tied yourself up in knots. Your military postings were fairly impressive to the untrained eye, but you can't kid someone in the life. Your Brecon comment (especially given the SAS thing) was a real giveaway as was the rotating for a couple of weeks on reserve duty. That tipped it off and when you have tried to throw in more "facts" to support it, they have had holes in too. I'm not the only one to have spotted it. As you now know.

I think you are a smart, funny bloke but lying to impress people (especially about serving in the current climate) is not required. So what if you work in a call centre? No shame in it. Be proud, mate. I wasn't always a squaddie. As a 16 and 17 year old I had part time jobs that were demoralising to the extreme. It doesn't define what you are.

You could simply make a full (and honest) declaration and move on. I'd certainly respect you and I can be sure that others will too. They seem a good bunch on here for the most part. I think that folk are willing to recognise and respect someone standing up and admitting that they have lied and then moving on.

There's strength in that. I think you can do it.

There is our impasse. There is no shame in working in a call centre. I have operated in them myself; you go where the work is. Corporate security is varied if nothing else. My military career is a matter of recorded fact, as proven to the satisfaction of several posters who have passed on the information to their friends in turn.

The problem comes in the fact that you cannot accept this, wothout revealing that you may not know as much as you want people to beleive- no body does- soldiers especialy. Add to the fact that your first appearance was to attack me, and you have done little since, does nothing to garner any faith in you. Additionally, you have not confined your cruelties to my past, but even my friends and racial heritage. Can you find grounds for reconcilliation on the premise that you would be required to make apologies ? I do not think so. I don't think you can.

Interesting that you should suggest this when so many people have (oddly) chosen to pull your posts this weekend. Myself included, I freely admit.
