Saw your 'conversation' thread, thought I'd drop by and try clear up a few points
On h2g2 it isn't possible to have a private conversation, all threads are open for all to see. However, there is another site, called ican, and it is technically possible (but not recomended or generally acceptable) to use their private message fascility on this site. You won't find details how to do this on h2g2, because it's not an h2g2 tool and goes against the site's principals of information being available to all.
So basically, there is as good as no way of having a private conversation on site.
As for your second question, you can't delete the postings you've made . If the content in a post is unsuitable (i.e. is against the <./>houserules</.> then it is possible to alert the moderaters and they will remove the post or edit it appropriately. That is generally speaking the only way that postings can be removed though, again it's to do with the site's pricipals of building a lasting guide to life, the universe and everything.
If you see 'hidden' in the subject line, it's normally because some or all the content of the post was against the house rules and had to be moderated.
I hope this helps.
