h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi. I'm a (not so) new user on H2G2. I can't seem to quite bring myself to leap into conversations which have been going for some time - I read them and laugh, but maybe I've been brought up too polite to leap in and interrupt people....
I want some new friends can someone help me to get started???

I first butted into a long standing forum at the beach, and I'm so glad I did. But it is hard to start, because everyone seems to know what to say, and you feel that they might not like the intrusion. Which is just not true.

I didn't see it but I read your bit about it and that's awful! Where do you live that you can get stark nakedness like that on TV?

TO be honest Fad... me has never dunked a doughnut... ~grin~... me never has them in my paws long enough to do that... me holds the record for eating 100 doughnuts in one go you know.... See the belly... ~Greebo points to her orange furred Millenium Doom (me knows it's Dome... but me also knows what me is talking about...) ... this belly has digested more douhgnuts than you have had hot dinners... ~grin~

Hi Princess Bride - I live in good old blighty (UK) the land of the free, where aged, flabby ex-children's TV presenters are allowed to flaunt their wedding tackle on national televsision!!!
It's not so much that he had a horrid body or anything, but the trauma probably mainly arises from the fact that I GREW UP with this man on TV, and to see his floppy bits therefore comes as a HUGE shock!!!

Yes, I can understand that... I luckily have no visual to put the name with, so I am happily living in ignorance here in the States. Good luck on forgetting that experience!
